WEPHOBIA SS15 - BEHIND THE SCENES

The most exciting thing about working in fashion probably lies in the photoshoots. The feeling of being "caught in red hands" and the opportunity to watch everyone else do their jobs. What's important is you have to work, too. So you can enjoy the moment better with your team. For instance, my job was to take photos for the Behind The Scenes and assist during the photoshoot. As I kept running back and forth, the adrenaline flew faster. And that was how I felt the excitement of that day.

Basically, we did a nautical theme for WEPHOBIA's SS15 collection. We found a good package of sand and poured it on the floor of the studio's rooftop, sided by white walls, to create an artificial beach. It was extremely sunny and tiring. After a while, the model had to take a rest and we decided to have water and soft cakes. I remember the photographer's shirt was covered in his sweat. That's why the model wore sunglasses in almost every photo. It was really sunny.

About the cakes, needless to say we could only eat it when we were hungry. Thanks God for C2 even though it's famous for the flies. I didn't die of thirst or lack of sugar. Writing down all of this, I can't believe how bad I was not to notice Fresh Garden standing right next to us : ( We could've had really delicious cakes with butter cream so soft! During the break, I saw photographer Andy Bui walking in with his team for Ha Cuc's photoshoot. We met before on a cruise to Ha Long Bay for Travellive magazine. At that moment, I realized how crowded the space would be and how lucky they were to shoot indoor while we had to do it outside. But that's ok. I loved what I was doing so the heat would find it hard to melt me.

Cleaning the space for Andy's team, we got back to our work and I was very happy to notice that the model felt better. The last process of the photoshoot was way easier, especially thanks to the model's attitude. It spoke WEPHOBIA right away without any words. Dealing with the sand was a workout. While our COO (I'd like to call him 'anh Hube') was ladling the sand and our designer was holding the bag, I was sweeping the floor like a grandma xD because I was wearing a pair of black palazzo and they were flapping everywhere. Done! Heading back to our studio after saying goodbye to the model and her manager, we rushed to the second floor to prepair for the show in Saigon.

In a short amount of time, we had the complete SS15 lookbook by WEPHOBIA, featuring the leather bags coming out this summer. As usual, I did the layout : D Here are my favorite looks from the collection:
