GAME OF THRONES | BATTLE OF THE BASTARDS.

Alright, alright, alright.

Game of Thrones baby. 

Battle of the Bastards went exactly the way it should be. Nice start at Meeren I must say. It lifted our mood up so as for it to go down again in the last half of the episode. I'll jump to Jon Snow and Ramsay part.

R.I.P Rickon. I was thinking Ramsay's arrows might have injured the Stark boy's leg as possibly predicted by Arya's earlier gif above. I was wrong. Rickon's death kickstarted Jon and that was the first part of our hopelessness. Jon ran in hatred towards the Bolton's army in time for the wild men to approach him. That was also the first part of Jon's luck. In the rain of arrows, men and men died being stabbed like meat loaf. But..

Only could Jon Snow.

..not one single arrow hurt him. When I thought the battle had just begun, the camera zoomed out and there were huge heaps of bodies already. That was when I realized the writers might have overdone in this episode. As the battle went on, the Bolton's army revealed themselves clearer (great strategy, Ramsay!) and Jon suffocated among dying men, our hopelessness reached to the point where even we thought it couldn't have got there. It's exactly what we were supposed to feel. Hopeless and empowered. The writers would push our mind to that corner until we ran out of ideas to get out. That's when Littlefinger and Sansa showed up. Then, the battle re-began.

Wun Wun, the giant, appeared in this episode to sacrifice for Jon and highlight the crime of Ramsay Bolton. He looked like a porcupine when he died. That's the second part of Jon's luck when we saw the contrast of the unharmed Jon and his severely injured men. Ramsay's effort in shooting arrows as 'fighting against Jon Snow' was a low brow. The hopelessness of ours, instead of juggling to Ramsay, actually just.. didn't. The rest was handled to Sansa. In the crypt of Winterfell, Ramsay Bolton was torn apart brutally by his own fella, released by his own wife. The same dogs he used to feed with his victim's flesh, now are full of their master's pieces.   

Did you think Jon Snow won this battle? Jon made a retarded decision. It was Sansa and the rest of the army that claimed this victory. Littlefinger is up to something. That's clearly the price. Whatever it is, I'm up for it.

Back to Meeren. That was some fast traveling Greyjoys! Romance possibly will rise between Daenerys and Yara. Will Mother of Dragons go gay next season? That's some serious eye contact we got there ladies. Tyrion finally made sense. He was so lame earlier with the jokes and wine that I thought he was sober. Grey Worm played it badass with his knife. One hundred ships and more are ready. Now we only need Cersei to burn down Westeros with Wildfire. There's high chance Tommen will die. I'm excited for the destruction in King's Landing. I hope to see Bran in the last episode and what the Night King's up for. He's the real villain in this series. Ramsay Bolton, compared to the Others, is nothing. A flat character with poorly-cultivated background is just a pin for a little fun. Or like my dude said: 'a two dimensional villain'. 

Do you feel like Battle of the Bastards was predictable? It had the same motif with the episode when Jon Snow defended the Wall, yet couldn't blow our mind, especially the book readers'. It's probably because the next book hasn't come out yet and George R. R. only let the writers of the show know what they needed to know. So this season can't be based upon the unpredictable and smart core of the books. 

We'll see how it goes one last time before the one-year wait happens again. I'm hyped and also quite confused as I'm very close to another important date. This one even involves my life. After Game of Thrones, there's not much time I'll be spending here. It stirs me with a lot of confusion and wondering. I wonder if I've used my time the most efficiently and rightly. THE WINDS OF WINTER | GAME OF THRONES.

Whoever has never watched Game of Thrones, you've missed a show of a lifetime.

This show is too good. The last episode was too good. The music is legit. Someone gives the team a medal for terrific music. Such a great build-up I couldn't resist. Poor Margaery. She was so smart and it wasn't enough. The High Sparrow, you died in your own pride. Tommen jumped. Cersei burned it down with Wildfire. House Tyrell lost its men. The shame nun served The Zombie Mountain as her god. Or at least that's what Cersei put her through. The eye contact and the music were the best in the beginning of the finale. And not to forget, the children! Those little birds truly killed. Cersei made sure her game was played well. This woman is no two-dimension villain. 

Daenerys made a sacrifice. She's all with it now. Her ships sailed. Tyrion stood by her side. The dragons flew. They're coming to Westeros. A woman who would kill the innocent to rule against another who chooses to protect them. Tyrion, game on. Drink and know better things, please. Daenerys now counts on you. 

Jon Snow's parents confirmed. R+L=J is true. Lyanna did give birth to King in the North. If George R. R. Martin doesn't mess with us, Rhaegar's blood runs in Snow's, too. The Song of Ice and Fire happened. It was all brought back by Bran, who is now ready to become the Three-Eyed Raven. 

Arya killed Walder Frey. She's a pro now. One name off the list. 

Why do I have the feeling Varys will betray certain people? Or is he really playing for Tyrion full time? What's going on with the grandma and the Dorne queen? If they're coming to Westeros, too, ladies and gentlemen, I'm dying for season 7! Major game alert. Revenge, fire, blood, and Varys.

Cersei is now Protector of the Seven Kingdoms. Her costume was badass. What a woman she's become. This is why I liked Cersei the first time I saw her. This woman is no ordinary. Jaime Lannister, what did he really see? Were there anger, confusion and fear? The higher you reach, the more you'll lose. 

I'm happy for Sam and Gilly. Sam definitely found his place. They looked so safe there while outside, 99% of the characters were killing or dying. Side joke: "We need to substantially cut actor costs for the final two seasons." Cersei: "Say no more." 

I'm gonna miss Margaery a lot. Even though the Night King didn't show up and The Winds of Winter was actually about the the Starks, I'm excited for what's known and unknown. Goodbye another great season. I'll enjoy the music and let this sink in for a while.

NO ONE | GAME OF THRONES.

Arya! That's my girl!

The Waif is such a bitch. I swear to God there were some parts I got so frightened of her running skills. That bitch wouldn't rest! The fact that Arya parkoured right after being stabbed in the guts meh the heck out of me. I was hoping she wouldn't tear herself apart. But those Daredevil days paid off. Arya killed the Waif the same way she was defeated. That scene when she pulled out Needle under the rag lit up hope in me. And when she cut the candle in half lit everything even brighter. 

"What do we say to the God of Death?"

"Not today."

Syrio didn't come back. Apparently, that puzzle piece was weak. It must be Arya to kill the Waif so this chasing madness would make sense. Admit it, Jaqen H'ghar kind of wanted to see Arya alive. The girl is not no one. The girl is Arya Stark and she's coming back home. 

I respect your killing enthusiasm. 

Blackfish was a brave man. I agree that his death was meaningless and unnecessary as the deaths of honor in this series have always been. Jaime Lannister respected him. At least that's what I could feel from his command to see Blackfish and how gently he reacted when knowing the old guy was dead fighting. I also like the secret friendship of Brienne and Jaime. Mostly because I relate to it and the whole thing gave me a sense of humanity. Brienne's failure doesn't stir anything. War is coming anyway. Speaking of war, Jaime clearly had a way with words. He took over the castle so easily, yet didn't forget to mention his love for Cersei in the speech. Wouldn't it be better if he just focused on his duty and screw that woman off? By the way, Lady Stoneheart will not be brought back. Thank God.

Cersei, poor lady. There's no trial by combat, meaning no Cleganebowl. Cersei was aware of caches of Wildfire stuffed under King's Landing. I hope she'll burn the whole thing down. The Mountain's strength, or should I say 'senseless loaf of meat', wasn't impressive to my eyes. Even if Cleganebowl happened, I wouldn't be too excited. However, I did like how the Hound let loose. He joined the men giving his character an interesting development.

Tyrion. Seriously, this guy gotta let go of trying to befriend with Grey Worm and the curly girl. The first time was good. The second was shit. Finally, the masters made a move. What now? Will Khaleesi fight them or destroy everything? Because, you know, Westeros is waiting. Also, I wonder how the Greyjoys will meet Khaleesi, how their appearance will fit in the Meeren's story pace. They have ships. Not enough, but their uncle has some, too. 

Varys left. My dude spoiled me with something goes like this: 

It was revealed that Aegon, son of Rhaegar and Elia Martell, was alive. The baby that the Mountain smashed into the wall wasn't Aegon. He was switched before. So Lord Jon Connington and Varys helped Aegon escape. And he's coming back for his claim of the throne. However, some people think he's not the real Aegon, but someone Varys planted, hence the fAegon.

So.. yeah? I mean.. I still have this question: "Who is Aegon??"

I've just seen the preview of epsidoe 9. Oh. My. God. The battle is happening. What would Jon and Sansa do with that number of men? Ramsay's army was huge. A miracle needs to spark. The Battle of Bastards is going to be just like the episode when Jon defended the Wall. I will stop guessing and note down "bringing popcorn" next Monday. Let this sink, guys. Let this sink. There's still so much waiting for us.

GAME OF THRONES RAMBLING.

Cersei is gonna fuck up again. My dude said she's gonna burn down Westeros, and in the books, Jaime was trying to distance himself from her. The Mad Bitch, her new name is. My opinion is different. She's smart, decisive and has very strong will. Like I said in the earlier post, she's stuck sometimes. Beginning her problems, solving them herself, not forget to drag the whole city down with her. Classic.

Arya will face a test? She'll kill the Waif. Jon Snow, Arya, Mother of Dragons, Tyrion and Bran will live. My Arya has to live. As many as terrible things she's been through, her heart and soul are pure. The Stark girl is as decent as Ned Stark, only more clever with tricks. Her look in The Broken Man episode was so close to her father's. The hair, the clothes, how she walked and talked. I don't buy the Arya aka The Waif theory at all. I'll toss it in the trash and let you clean if it sounds persuasive to your ears. The Waif agreed with Jaqen H'ghar not to let Arya suffer and she betrayed her words. Look at those eyes of the girl. Arya will live.

I hope this prediction of mine won't fuck up like the one with Jon Snow.

My dude has this theory that Lady Lyanna aka the ten-year-old badass is daughter of Lady Bear and Tormund. Since he's always bragging about sleeping with bears, and, Lyanna and her four sisters don't have last name. Well, that could explain her sharp tongue. I'm also shipping Brienne and Tormund so please make some room for this couple, too.

Guess what? I'm excited for Jaime Lannister. Last episode, I didn't get the Blackfish part much. But what I've learned is, it could be a reason to bring Lady Stoneheart back in this series. Full of hatred, anger and urge for revenge. War is near. Even the armor of Jaime said something big was coming.

Will Olenna live? Awkward. Usually old, used-to-be powerful, now-vulnerable characters die hard. If she lives, she must have a more important role in this story. Something better than a dethroned grandmother. Maybe she'll play her part as 'a bank'? Since the Lannister is drowned in debts. My idea is, if Olenna gets to stay, possibly she would play as a backup for some team.

Long story short. I think she'll die.

Margaery will bring The High Sparrow down? Can't wait. What's with Mother of Dragons? I see her occasionally in this series. Probably due to higher pay and limited appearance in contract. Just saying.

I'm not worried about Jon Snow and Sansa for now. I'm more curious about the twist of it. The fact that Sansa doesn't fully trust Jon and Jon himself has so much more to concern make me feel like they'll stand against each other sooner or later. And will the Wall fall by the end of this season? What will Bran do? Will they change some of the characters' looks next season? Because the Night King in season 5 looked mushy af and The Three-Eyed Raven be like.. beard all over the place. They had a better touch-up in season 6. Hope this look of the Night King will stick around. I mean, he's quite handsome. I still remember that scene when he slowly raised his arms up. 'Look and fear, bitch.'

Yeah. I'll head to bed now. I can't wait to get hyped again watching 'No One'. I'll have my hair braided and done up on two sides like Arya someday. Before that, goodnight world.

THE BROKEN MAN | GAME OF THRONES.

Oh. My. God. They fucking do it again! The fucking Game of Thrones! The Hound is back baby. Remember my bet with my dude about the Cleganebowl? I have never been so excited to lose like this before. One minute forty seconds and I was stoned already. The Hound against Sir Gregor aka the zombie Mountain is coming soon, give me your money!

'He was a woman.' Honesty appreciated.

Arya. I love her so much. I was hoping she'd be able to kill the Waif but fairly, that girl was a bad ass in this episode. She stabbed Arya in the stomach so quickly even I was shocked. I was making the same face Arya made. And that fall from the bridge? Classic. This is not an obstacle. As someone I know said 'Bad things are blessings', I have faith in my most favorite character of this show. She's close.

Poor Arya.

Basic bitch.

What's with the Greyjoys? Boobs. Boobs in Game of Thrones look so good they turn me on. Theon Greyjoy is gaining himself back. They're coming to join the Dragon Queen. That means there's possibility that they'll meet Tyrion. Every time a character has a chance to see Tyrion, I get curious. I like Tyrion Lannister a lot, I just don't admit it most of the time. I hope this is going to be a fantastically unexpected team.

Jon Snow's army looked sad. It's the sadness that blindfolds us. That ten-year-old Lady killed it! Talked like a boss and gave Jon Snow sixty two men. Sixty two! I loved it! I took her seriously so we’ll see how it goes. I think Sansa sent Littlefinger or someone in the Vale that letter. They obviously needed more men. Sansa is growing strong. I don’t think the Starks are weak because they’re scattered. At this moment, they’re the only family that is well-bonded by loyalty and solid progress. I also remember the last time the Starks teamed up and went to war. The Red Wedding, the bloodiest twist of the series. I can’t say I hope for anything. But no matter what happens, there’s always a Stark remains.

Do we need to discuss about Jaime Lannister? It wasn’t a very significant scene, yet so significant of him being calm and knowing what he was doing. He’ll be fine. Cersei is stuck again. That woman has hell of a strong will and sometimes she’s so stuck. I also pay attention to Margaery. She’s flexible to switch. I like people who knows when to be smart and when to be not. That scene with the High Sparrow. Um. Excuse me but was Margaery wearing a denim gown and since when did that old man get pregnant? The show has given him a wrecked look in this season. Can you feel it? He’s going down without the knowledge of it.

Alright, that’s a wrap. The next episode is No One. We’ll see if the girl can achieve her revenge. It’s rumored that Arya will kill Cersei because seasons ago, the Red Woman met Arya and she saw ‘.. brown eyes, blue eyes, green eyes..’ in her darkness. Green eyes are supposed to point at the Lannisters, or even, some said Arya would ‘wear’ the faces of those eyes. 

This touched my heart.

People, I’m hyped for Game of Thrones. I can’t believe we’re more than half way there. Last year, I didn’t even know who Arya was or how naked this show could get. Now I’m writing posts about it with unstoppable word flows. I’ll leave it here and get some water. I think there was a squid-flavored piece in my cheese-flavored snack. Yuck. 

- Karl: Imagine if Margaery and Litterfinger got together and had kid. That child would have a permanent smirk on his/her face.

- Jamie: Agree. I can’t get her smirk off my mind.

And he just told me that smirk was due to her incident with the lips.

BLOOD OF MY BLOOD | GAME OF THRONES.

Today is Game of Thrones day. Last week, we were all over the place for Hodor. Remember how many memes we shared and that "Hold The Door" um.. hold-the-door piece of wood by IKEA? Yes, I felt sad that Hodor died. I even felt much more heartbroken for Bran. It was Bran that moved me to tears. He was put in a position of the trouble-maker, realized the upcoming sacrifice of his friend in the most hopeless way possible. He lost Hodor, the Bloodraven, and couldn't control the warging when death was near. Watching people we care about being pulled away from us because of our own good, how heartbreaking is it? That was why I felt really sad watching The Doors episode, all because of what Bran went through. 

Blood of My Blood was clearly a preparation for something huge coming. Once again, I have to say, I fucking love Arya! How she got convinced by Crane's acting skills, brushed off that poisoned glass of wine from Crane's hand, came back for the Needle and left The House of Black and White pumped adrenaline in my blood. Screw the Waif, she won't be able to kill Arya. The process of serving the Many-Faced God was essential for Arya to grow stronger and wiser. Now, she's coming back to Westeros. 

I love you, Arya.

I got irritated by The High Sparrow so much. Apparently, the longer he lives, the more bittersweet his dethrone will be. Jaime Lannister is such a man. I want someone who fights and loves like him. Cercei's short hair is so on point with what she's become. Margaery has some plans, obviously. Gilly's makeover strikes and Sam mans up. Uncle Benjen is back as Bran's protector. Last but not least, Mother of Dragons is ready for what belongs to her, baby. Her speech was so empowering that I almost joined her army, Dro.. kh.., Sons of.. and the.. of Har.. yeah I never remember.

The names of the last three episodes have been revealed: No One, Battle of Bastards and The Winds of Winter, which is also the name of the upcoming book. So my wild guess is: Arya, Jon Snow versus Ramsay Bolton, and The Wall goes down. My dude suggests me reading the books from the beginning. He was so convincing. What can I say? Let's get back to the reading life. This morning, I spoiled Game of Thrones to him and he tricked me to feel so bad about it. Well honey, I'm going to spoil the rest of this season to you. Try to chat while closing your eyes. 

OF COURSE IT'S 'HOLD THE DOOR'.

 

I don't know whether because I only had four hours of sleep or Game of Thrones episode 5 was really touching in the end, I sort of cried a little. How could I be so stupid the whole time? Of course, Hodor, 'Hold the door!'. Hodor became Hodor because of protecting Bran and died for the same reason. Two realities were parallel. I couldn't hold my tears while he held the door. How could I be so numb not being able to figure it out the first place? That Bloodraven scene was touching, too. Anyone ever had a mentor or a close, old friend will get it. My God, it was a sobbing legit. 

I want to know more about the White Walkers leader. We have been given key pieces of his puzzle for seasons but I can't still see the big picture. I also have hope for the Starks reunion. Doesn't matter if they will physically gather. A power summon or a spiritual crossroad is enough. Man, I still think about that Bran scene. Too bad the wolf had to die. I thought the Bloodraven and Meeran would be killed. Turned out it was Hodor, not Meeran. There's this crazy theory saying that Meeran is Jon's twin. R+L=J+M. Yeah, it's that crazy. They do assemble each other somehow though Jon gave me an impression of being older than Meeran. 

I mean, come on!

God bless the Greyjoys. They should leave the island. Look at those foolish, narrow-minded and violent men, they don't deserve to be ruled. Greyjoys will be fine. Poor Littlefinger, isn't it weird that he didn't know the bloody hobbies of Ramsay? Lord Bolton didn't even mind hiding it. And Varys, please tell me he's not falling for the second red woman. It was both funny and awkward seeing him losing a bit of himself for her words. Though she has a terrible acting skill, she looks appealing. Suddenly, I like Melisandre for not liking the new one. I hope I'm wrong for I've always had the tendency to like smart and seductive characters. 

Sansa only trusts Jon half way. Getting wise, I see. Jon and I, pardon me for the unrelated comparison, have something in common. We could swear life and death to one thing then leave it for good after fulfilling our words. We don't lie, we tell the truth and live upon it. We offer loyalty and walk away with integrity. So the best thing for someone who pairs up with Jon, or me, is always having his or her own backup. I'm curious to see Ramsay suffer. He has to suffer before he dies. Who knows, could be different.

I'M SECRETLY A NERD FOR GAME OF THRONES.

I've been caught up with Game of Thrones fan theories lately. Seriously, you guys open my mind. 

. R+L=J is likely to be true after the Tower of Joy's short mention. 

. Tyrion to be a Targaryen? Not really for me. He's able to control the dragons though. 

. The Hound to fight against The Mountain aka Sir Gregor? Man, high chance.

. Bran Stark to whisper to the mad king's ears the whole time and turned him.. well.. mad? Mm, sounds interesting but not convincing enough. 

. Littlefinger was the one to send the "Rickon's hostage" letter but not Ramsay? Based on the use of the words "Come and see"? If that's true, I'll thank God. When the letter scene happened, I was so disappointed in Ramsay as he revealed himself too much. What an act of foolishness. If Littlefinger is truly behind this then he's the real man of schemes and Varys will be the real man of strategies. And as always, I prefer Varys.

Anyway, I made a bet with my best friend dude that The Cleganebowl would not happen. There's a high chance I'll lose. Same thing happened with Jon Snow's fate. So yeah, we'll see if I can make a hat trick this season. 

FIRST EPISODE | GAME OF THRONES.

Game of Thrones is coming baby!

What I wrote before the show:

So I live in Vietnam, that means I can watch GOT at 9 a.m and 9 p.m on Monday, today. I miss it this morning so I'm definitely watching this very evening with Hedi, Yves and Simon, along with their mother Miu Miu. My stash is simple, chocolate ice-cream with chips (since I had some day-li-cious chips at Tadioto yesterday). Ok, let's cut to the chase. I want Jon Snow dead. 100% people I know insisted on his survival after being stabbed like meatloaf, but my bet is on his death. I want him dead. When it comes down to my favorite series, I want every character of my interest to die, even the one I still don't like much - Jon Snow. That includes Arya Stark, Jaime Lannister, Varys, and Cercei, which seems impossible. Hate me, I love the Lannisters and I don't worship Tyrion. He was built in a way that should steal our sympathy with his mistreat and win our heart with his intelligence. However, to me, Tyrion was born with nothing but advantages. Through five seasons he has received too many favors falling out of nowhere and secretly-not-so-secretly become the star of the show. I want him dead. Mother of Dragons is cool, she's winning even when she's down. Again, I don't understand why season after season, she's still stuck with the slaves. She's literally doing nothing to approach Westeros in spite of her constant repetition in doing so. She won't die, though. Littlefinger is clever but his cleverness is less than Varys'. What he lacks is candid. When there are two guys who are both smart and rich in networking, the one with the heart lives. Dear journal, the world we're living in and the world they're living in are fair. Sansa Stark is going to be huge. That lady has been growing since day one. It's only a matter of time for her to kickstart and rule. That time starts this season. I have no comment on The Red Woman. I also look forward to Brienne of Tarth, Bran Stark, Sam and Gilly. Before I leave this post half-finished here, I have one small question to ask: what the hell happened to Gendry and Rickon? One sailed the whole sea and got lost? And one ran away with the wild woman and.. got lost, too? There, I'll leave it for this season to answer.

What I wrote after the show:

1. Jon Snow's life is still under question.

2. Sansa Stark and Brienne of Tarth are now a team. The part Sansa said ".. you'll have meat and wine on your table.." reminded me of steak even though I was having chicken, fries, ice cream and coke.

3. Mother of Dragons will not be raped after being captured, probably will have to spend the rest of her life in a temple for the widows, which means she will be rescued.

4. Tyrion walked around like nothing could harm him. Again.

5. The king of Dorne is dead, so is his son.

6. Arya Stark is blind and now fights like Dare Devil. I think she's upgrading.

7. The Red Woman's real age is at least a hundred. She is freaking old.

This episode is a warm-up step. I hope Jaime Lannister will kill The Sparrow. And, the leader of the white ghost looked so good that he will be my next favorite after Arya. Again, I still think Jon Snow is dead, at least in this season.
